Articles of Faith

Verbal Inspiration
We believe the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testament to be the verbally inspired Word and Revelation of God. We Believe the 66 books of the Bible to be inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed.
(Psalm 19:7-11; II Tim 3:16,17; II Peter 1:16-21; Luke 24:13-28; Jonah 1:1)

Deity and Virgin Birth
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, that He was the incarnate Son of God, the second Person in the blessed Trinity, Very God of Very God, for whom and by whom all things were created. (John 1:1-14; John 14:9; Isa7:14; Matt 1:18-25; John 10:36)

The Trinity
We believe in the triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - three Persons. (I John 5:1-8). The Holy Spirit is the infallible interpreter of the infallible Scriptures (John 16:7-15).

Blood Atonement
We believe in the substitutionary atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He, by the grace of God, tasted death for every man and that all must be born again or are forever lost.
(Heb 2:9; John 6:44-69, John 3:1-18; Rom 3:25; Rev 1:5; Heb 1:22; I Peter 1:18,19)

Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and that he ascended bodily into the heavens and is now at the right hand of God as our Mediator, priest and Advocate.
(Acts 1:9, 10; John 20; Heb 9:24; I Cor 15:12-28; Acts 3:12-26)

Justification by Faith
We believe that man is justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are not saved by works but unto good works.
(Rom 5:1; Eph 2:8-10)

Eternal Security of the Believer
We believe that saved people are saved eternally from hell’s condemnation and unto heaven’s glory.
(Rom 8:1; Rom 8:38, 39; II Tim 1:12.)

Kingship, Second Coming and Judgement
We believe in the Kingship of Jesus Christ. (Rev 11:15; Rev 19:11-21; I Thess 1:9,10). In the blessed hope, the personal, premillennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for all believers in Christ (I Thess 4: 13-18; I Cor 15:50-55; Acts 1:11; Titus 2:13.) That He must come with His saints to execute judgment upon the ungodly nations. (Jude 14,15; Matt 25:31-46.) That He will cast Satan into the abyss and establish his earthly kingdom and reign 1000 years. (Rev 19:19-20; Rev 20:1-6).

Of Baptism and the Lord's Supper
We believe that scriptural baptism is the immersion in water of a believer (1) in the name of the Father, and Son and Holy Ghost (2), to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior, with its effect in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life (3), that it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership (4), and by the sacred use of bread and juice we commemorate together the dying love of Christ (5), preceded always by solemn self-examination (6).

Of Civil Government
We believe that civil government is of divine appointment for the interests and good order of human society (1), and that magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored and obeyed,) except only in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Church
We believe that the Church which is the Body of Christ began with the descent of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost and that each one who accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour is a member of the Body of Christ. We believe in the personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit, Who baptizes believers the moment they are saved (1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 4:4-6), Who indwells the believer permanently, Who indwells the believer as he yields his life to the control of the Holy Spirit, and Who is the believers’ constant comfort and guide.

Creation
We believe that man was created by the direct act of God, and having no tolerance for evolution (theistic or otherwise), and that in the fall of man through Adam's transgressions, man took upon himself a sinful nature universally (Gen. 1-3; Rom. 5:12.).

Salvation
We believe that unless a man is born again he will not go to heaven but will go to hell. (John 3; Rom. 10:13; Rev. 21:8.) A man must repent of his sins and believe on the Lord Jesus to be saved.

Devil
We believe in a real, personal devil who tries to damn souls and who hinders God's work. (I Peter 5:8; ii Cor. 11:12-15; Rev. 20:10.)

Hell
We believe in a literal hell where all unsaved people will burn forever in a Christless eternity. Luke 16:19-31; Rev. 21:8.)

Spiritual Gifts
We believe that tongues were known, spoken languages (1) and that such speaking in tongues ceased during the Apostolic Church Age. (2) Therefore, there is no scriptural grounds for these gifts being used in today's churches. There will be no such unscriptural tongues or healing campaigns conducted in this church or among its membership.
